Software Engineer I - Data Engineering

Job Summary

To support the development of cloud-based data systems, the full-time Software Engineer I - Data Engineering will collaborate with experienced engineers to build robust data ingestion and processing pipelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain resilient data pipelines for large volumes of data from vehicle fleets and simulations
• Support the scalability and integrity of Torc's data lake and assist in acquiring additional data sets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that enhance product delivery and support cloud-based capabilities

Required qualifications

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience writing code in Python
• Practical knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Familiarity with Linux and bash scripting
• Commitment to test-driven development and continuous integration practices
