Software Engineer II

Job Summary

Joining the newly formed Inline Mailflow team, the full-time Software Engineer II will design and implement core components of a next-generation SMTP relay infrastructure, focusing on scalability, IP management, and encryption in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core components of the SMTP relay harness from conception through production operation
• Collaborate with PMs and Solutions Architects to translate customer requirements into reliable relay configurations
• Own and operate tier-0 mail flow services, participating in on-call rotations and driving continuous reliability improvements

Required qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or a related engineering field
• 3+ years of backend software development experience with distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Go and/or Python
• Experience building features and components from scratch and owning them in production
• Comfortable with ambiguity and 0-to-1 projects, shaping requirements alongside stakeholders
