Software Engineer II

Job Summary

Passionate about building and optimizing large-scale distributed systems, the full-time Software Engineer II will design, implement, and enhance features for Azure Storage, working collaboratively within a talented team to ensure high availability and reliability of the storage platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborates with stakeholders to gather user requirements and develops design documents for product features
• Creates and implements code for services or features while breaking down larger tasks into manageable work items
• Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor system performance and address any service interruptions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, or Java
• 1+ year of experience in software engineering practices with a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms
• 1+ year of proficiency in Storage, File-Systems, Distributed Systems, Operating Systems, or Networking at scale
