Software Engineer II

Job Summary

To support the Service Activation Integration Engineering team, the hybrid Software Engineer II will manage the operational health and deployment lifecycle of over 200 microservices across 14 AWS EKS clusters, focusing on environment operations, automation, and infrastructure development.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full deployment lifecycle for containerized applications, executing and documenting deployments from pipeline through validation
• Monitor and respond to environment health alerts for microservices, performing root cause diagnosis and resolution
• Develop and maintain Python-based automation for deployments and monitoring, including orchestration and self-healing tooling

Required qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Environment Management roles
• 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience, including pod lifecycle management and troubleshooting production issues
• Expertise in AWS services, including EKS, IAM, and CloudWatch
• Intermediate or above Python automation skills with experience in building deployment orchestration and monitoring scripts
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD or equivalent GitOps tools
