Software Engineer II

Job Summary

To support the Service Activation Integration Engineering (SAIE) Environment team, the hybrid Software Engineer II will manage the operational health and deployment lifecycle of over 200 microservices across 14 AWS EKS clusters, focusing on environment operations, automation development, and infrastructure work.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full deployment lifecycle for containerized applications, executing and documenting deployments from pipeline through validation
• Monitor and respond to environment health alerts for microservices, performing root cause diagnosis and resolution
• Develop and maintain Python-based automation for deployments and monitoring, while designing CI/CD pipelines and self-healing tooling

Required qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Environment Management roles
• 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience, including pod lifecycle management and troubleshooting production issues
• Expertise in AWS services such as EKS, IAM, and CloudWatch
• Intermediate or above Python automation skills with real-world experience in deployment orchestration
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD, including pipeline design and troubleshooting
