Software Engineer II
Job Summary
Collaborating with a dynamic team, the full-time Software Engineer II will design, build, and maintain single-click apps for the BigCommerce App Marketplace, working in a hybrid environment with responsibilities spanning backend and frontend development.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications, integrating with BigCommerce APIs and services
- Monitor production app health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve merchant-impacting bugs
- Contribute to data migration projects and participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
- Hands-on experience with Node.js/TypeScript and/or PHP, as well as React and Next.js
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks, OAuth)
- Solid understanding of programming principles and multi-tenant application considerations
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, or completion of a software engineering boot camp
