Software Engineer II, Back-end

Job Summary

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the full-time remote Software Engineer II, Back-end will design, develop, and maintain backend systems for card management and transaction processing, ensuring the reliability and availability of critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Break down larger projects into manageable tasks and deliver them in phases while ensuring timely completion
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle, articulating technical constraints and participating in decision-making
• Create and monitor metrics to support the operations and availability of team artifacts, participating in on-call efforts as needed

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer
• Proficiency in designing and developing backend systems using Python or Kotlin
• Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
• Experience in writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code that interacts with multiple software components
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
