Software Engineer II or III

Job Summary

Collaborating with a team of engineers and utility experts, the full-time remote Software Engineer II or III will develop high-quality software products, focusing on software design, architecture, and the product life cycle for AI-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define product architecture and implement secure, reliable, scalable software products
• Translate business problems into technical solutions by working with internal and client stakeholders
• Mentor junior software engineers on best practices for building scalable cloud applications

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Java software development, with recent experience in Java 17 or higher
• Knowledge or experience architecting software solutions within the AWS Cloud Platform
• Experience with data modeling and relational database design and implementation
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra
• BS or MS in software engineering, computer science, or a related field of study, or equivalent work experience
