A company is looking for a Software Engineer III for the Editing Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve the Wikipedia product experience by fixing bugs and implementing new functionality
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and community members to iterate on new features
- Write multilingual, accessible, and performant code using JavaScript and PHP
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of related professional or open-source software engineering experience
- Experience with object-oriented development using scripting languages (JavaScript, PHP, Python, or Ruby)
- Experience writing unit tests and using version control
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or mathematics, or equivalent experience
- Experience building a rich-text editor is a plus
