Software Engineer III

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer III - Search.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of features, including design, development, testing, and deployment
• Design and build scalable search platforms and relevance algorithms to enhance product discovery
• Support mission-critical search applications and troubleshoot production issues using monitoring tools

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of practical experience
• 4+ years of software development experience, preferably in Java or Clojure
• Experience in designing high volume production systems with a focus on availability and performance
• Familiarity with RDBMS technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
• Knowledge of AWS cloud-based architecture and event/stream processing mechanisms, specifically Kafka
