Software Engineer III

Job Summary

Building and improving production machine learning systems, the remote contract Software Engineer III will design, develop, and evaluate models that detect harmful content across various media types while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure content safety.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance production ML systems for detecting harmful content across multiple modalities
• Own end-to-end model development, including data design, experimentation, deployment, and performance monitoring
• Develop evaluation frameworks and partner with teams to translate content safety needs into technical solutions

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in building and operating machine learning systems in production
• Strong proficiency with modern ML frameworks, particularly PyTorch, and experience with multimodal models
• Deep understanding of ML evaluation metrics, labeling methodologies, and model performance tracking
