Software Engineer III

Job Summary

Seeking a Full-Stack Engineer III to join the Data Products team in a remote capacity, where the candidate will manage backend Python services and develop React UI components, focusing on building customer-facing data products that transform shipping data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python (FastAPI) services and design event-driven integrations to synchronize data products with business events
• Develop and own React UI surfaces for customer-facing features, collaborating with design and product teams to ensure polished interfaces
• Contribute to the full spectrum of data product development, partnering with data science teams to implement reliable production services

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on full-stack development
• Proficient in Python, with FastAPI experience preferred, and comfortable with async programming and structured API design
• Hands-on experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka and solid PostgreSQL skills for data modeling and query optimization
• Production-level React experience, including component architecture and API integration
• Demonstrated ability to write high-quality, maintainable code and effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
