Job Summary
Seeking a Software Engineer III with strong Ruby on Rails expertise, the remote position will own feature development for backend services, contribute to architectural decisions, and guide junior engineers while delivering high-quality solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Own feature development from technical design through delivery, breaking complex projects into manageable pieces
- Write high-quality, idiomatic Ruby code and participate in team-level architectural decisions
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers through code reviews and collaborative sessions
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience with Ruby on Rails applications
- Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design and query optimization
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs within Rails
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Comfortable providing and receiving direct technical feedback in a remote environment
