Job Summary

Specializing in device connectivity, the full-time Software Engineer III - CJIS Certified will enhance the Android-based system stack, focusing on fleet stability and the 5G upgrade roadmap while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Advance the Android-based system stack to ensure robust network connections for edge devices in challenging environments
• Optimize power consumption to maximize battery life while addressing complex fleet connectivity issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve connectivity telemetry and logging, and design features for enhanced field performance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in embedded systems or OS-level development
• Deep expertise in low-level Android OS architectures and system initialization processes
• Hands-on experience with cellular connectivity stacks, including LTE/5G modems and SIM/eSIM management
• Proven ability to debug complex system-level issues across hardware and software boundaries
• Strong proficiency in networking technologies, including TCP/IP protocols and data optimization
