Software Engineer in Test

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Software Engineer in Test will design and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools, focusing on enhancing the reliability of the Risk Cloud platform through AI-driven strategies and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and regression suites using TypeScript and Playwright
• Write clean automation code to validate backend APIs and integration layers, adhering to the testing pyramid
• Independently diagnose and isolate test automation failures and platform defects using distributed system logs and monitoring tools

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in software test automation or backend engineering in a high-growth SaaS environment
• Strong programming experience using TypeScript or a comparable scripting language, with exposure to automated testing frameworks
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants as part of the development workflow
• Deep understanding of Fowler's Testing Pyramid and hands-on proficiency in writing various types of tests
• Demonstrated ability to independently debug distributed backend microservices
