Software Engineer - Mainframe

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Software Engineer - Mainframe will support UMR's Claim, Eligibility, & Billing applications by analyzing business requirements, developing software solutions, and incorporating AI tools to solve complex problems in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements to develop software solutions and tackle complex business challenges
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and provide support for application maintenance and new development
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions while resolving production issues and performing root cause analysis to meet SLAs

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle
• 3+ years of experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and Rest API on an IBM Mainframe
• 3+ years of experience with Mainframe tools such as XPEDITER, Endevor, and TSO/ISPF
• 1+ years of experience with GitHub Copilot
