Job Summary
Seeking a skilled full-time Software Engineer, Networking to work remotely as part of the Dataplane Engineering Team, focusing on developing core client connectivity features, enhancing Tailscale's networking offerings, and resolving complex connectivity issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and document core client-side networking software for Tailscale
- Advance product features by integrating established industry network protocols with Tailscale's designs
- Provide expert consultation and support for customer network escalations within key environments
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience with networking software and diagnosing networking issues
- Comprehensive understanding of networking engineering, including routing, VPNs, and NAT traversal
- Proficiency in Go or other low-level programming languages such as C/C++ or Rust
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems is highly desirable
- Knowledge of low-level OS network stacks is a plus
