Software Engineer (Python)

Job Summary

To support a modern, event-driven microservices platform, the fully remote Software Engineer (Python) will build and maintain Python-based APIs in AWS, troubleshoot system issues, and contribute to authentication integrations across platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support Python-based APIs utilizing AWS services such as Lambdas and API Gateway
• Manage user stories, bugs, and production issues within a microservices architecture
• Collaborate with customer success and platform teams to enhance system performance and reliability

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in Python API development within AWS environments
• Familiarity with authentication systems, particularly Microsoft Entra, Azure AD, or B2C
• Exposure to geospatial data tools (e.g., Mapbox, ESRI) is a plus
• Ability to work independently while leveraging mentorship from senior engineers
• Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture
