Software Engineer, Release Engineering
Job Summary
Passionate about release automation, the full-time Software Engineer, Release Engineering will optimize and maintain the build and deployment pipeline for Firefox, collaborating with a geographically-distributed team while working remotely from France.
Key responsibilities
- Write scalable software to support the daily build, test, and release processes for Firefox
- Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance the developer experience and implement improvements
- Respond to critical service outages during normal working hours without on-call duties
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Python
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud resources (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Comfortable developing in Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, with shell scripting experience
- Experience working on a distributed team across multiple time zones
