Job Summary

Working remotely on a flexible, task-based freelance contract, the Software Engineer Task Author will design and calibrate authentic engineering challenges, focusing on diagnosing integration failures and writing verifiable code fixes to enhance AI training.

Key Responsibilities

• Author realistic engineering task prompts related to integration failures and debugging
• Write scoring rubrics to define correct fixes and validate them in live environments
• Calibrate task difficulty by adjusting code complexity and failure modes

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a working software engineer in backend systems or enterprise software
• Fluency in Git and version control workflows
• Strong debugging skills with experience in reading logs and tracing failures
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and configuration code
• Ability to write and verify code fixes in live or simulated environments
