Leading strategic initiatives within the card platform, the full-time remote Software Engineering Manager will manage a high-performing backend engineering team focused on developing innovative solutions that enhance Affirm's product offerings and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a backend engineering team using Kotlin and Python to build and enhance card platform solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a technical roadmap that aligns with customer and business needs
• Coach and develop team members while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering management or leadership roles
• Proven track record in architecting, building, and scaling financial products
• Experience in fostering high-performing engineering teams
• Strong analytical skills and a commitment to product excellence
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
