Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a remote-first product development team, the full-time salaried Software Engineering Manager will manage and mentor software engineers, drive engineering excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions for substance use disorder care delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a remote team of software engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Facilitate scrum ceremonies and partner with the Product team to refine and prioritize the backlog, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Own end-to-end delivery of engineering commitments, proactively identifying and addressing blockers, risks, and dependencies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
• 3-5+ years of direct engineering management experience with a successful track record in leading software delivery teams
• 5-7 years of hands-on software engineering experience, delivering scalable and maintainable solutions
• Demonstrated experience managing remote engineering teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders
