Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading two scrum teams focused on enhancing financial reporting capabilities, the full-time remote Software Engineering Manager will own delivery outcomes, manage team dynamics, and engage directly with client stakeholders to translate complex reporting requirements into actionable plans.

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery outcomes and manage accountability structures across both Reporting/BI scrum teams
• Provide hands-on technical direction and unblock engineers while maintaining sufficient depth in Oracle SQL and BI tooling
• Engage with client stakeholders to clarify financial reporting requirements and advocate for platform-generic solutions

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience in BI, reporting, or SQL-heavy environments, with 2+ years in an engineering management role
• Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL to provide technical direction and engage credibly with engineers
• Demonstrated experience managing engineers directly, setting technical direction, and running ceremonies
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools and a track record of driving AI adoption within engineering teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
