Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a mission-critical team, the full-time salaried Software Engineering Manager will oversee the development of control plane APIs, data plane integration, and a developer-focused UI, ensuring high performance and maintainability in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor an engineering team while driving architecture decisions and maintaining high standards for code quality
• Own the design and delivery of control plane APIs and ensure reliability across multi-tenant and global systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the UI platform and integrate real-time observability tools

Required qualifications:

• 15+ years of engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing distributed systems teams
• Proficiency in Go (or equivalent systems languages), gRPC/REST APIs, and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of load balancing, proxy systems (Envoy/Istio), and cloud-native security models
• Experience in building modern UIs with React and TypeScript, integrating with real-time data
• Familiarity with operational best practices such as CI/CD, GitOps, and service ownership
