Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a platform engineering team, the full-time remote Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for developing engineers, improving execution discipline, and delivering reliable platform capabilities at scale while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on strategy and execution.

Key responsibilities:

• Directly manage a team of software engineers, overseeing hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development
• Translate product and engineering strategy into actionable plans, managing team capacity and execution risks
• Provide technical guidance and oversight, ensuring high-quality software delivery while maintaining strong engineering practices

Required qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience leading complex engineering initiatives in SaaS or cloud platforms
• Previous people management experience with a focus on team development and performance management
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong technical background in backend services, APIs, and distributed systems
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software while balancing scope, schedule, and operational supportability
