Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading the Ground & Control Services engineering team, the full-time Software Engineering Manager will mentor engineers in building autonomous systems for satellite operations, ensuring alignment with commercial goals and operational readiness in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team focused on autonomous satellite operations and real-time tasking
• Drive prioritization and planning across projects while ensuring alignment with business goals and customer commitments
• Provide technical direction and architectural guidance for systems interfacing with ground stations and satellite communication protocols

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum of eight years of professional experience in software engineering, including experience with complex distributed systems
• At least two years of experience leading engineering teams with formal leadership responsibilities
• Strong technical background in programming languages such as Go, Python, or C++
• Experience developing and deploying microservices in cloud environments and on-premises Kubernetes systems
