Software Engineering Manager

Job Summary

To lead software development initiatives, the full-time remote Sr. Manager, Software Engineering will manage the software project lifecycle, supervise a team of engineers, and drive strategic technical decisions aligned with organizational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the full software project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope
• Supervise and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and conducting performance evaluations
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define long-term engineering strategy and establish standards for system architecture and performance

Required qualifications

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• Four years of experience in a Software Engineer role with technical management responsibilities
• Proficiency in Java, RESTful web services, and SQL relational databases
• Experience architecting distributed and scalable systems in AWS cloud environments
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Opsgenie or Datadog for system reliability
