Software Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading a newly formed data engineering team, the full-time remote Software Engineering Manager will drive data engineering standards, collaborate on high-visibility initiatives, and provide technical guidance in SQL optimization and cloud data solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers to establish and implement data engineering best practices across platforms
- Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams on cross-functional initiatives
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and champion AI-assisted engineering workflows to enhance productivity
Required qualifications
- Advanced SQL experience in cloud data warehousing platforms, including query optimization and data modeling
- Hands-on experience with GCP data and streaming stack, including BigQuery and Dataflow
- Proven experience in leading and coaching engineering teams with a balance of technical and people leadership
- Strong understanding of software engineering practices, including SDLC and code review
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
