Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Software Engineering Manager will manage the development of a core API and backend service for healthcare cost data, balancing hands-on coding with team leadership in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Directly manage, coach, and develop the engineering team through regular feedback and career-growth conversations
- Write and review production code while setting and upholding engineering standards for quality and observability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate the product roadmap into actionable engineering work and maintain platform health
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on coding ability in C# / .NET
- Proven experience in people leadership, including managing and developing engineers
- Depth in building and operating production REST APIs and backend services
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL and cloud services on AWS
- Comfort operating in an Agile environment, including sprint planning and delivery management
