Software Product Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design and development of complex healthcare technology systems, the full-time Software Product Engineer will work remotely to create scalable cloud-based architectures and AI-enabled solutions for a large federal government project.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build event-driven, data-intensive backend services using Node.js/TypeScript and cloud-native solutions
- Decompose complex workflows into a microservices architecture, ensuring clear service boundaries and inter-service communication
- Drive test-driven development (TDD) practices, maintaining strong test coverage to ensure reliability of AI-enabled services
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on AI-enabled systems in production environments
- Strong hands-on experience with React and Node.js/TypeScript, including building REST APIs and integrations
- Experience with AWS data and messaging services for event-driven service development
- Demonstrated practice of test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing methodologies
