Software Product Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Software Product Engineer will design, build, and own backend services and APIs for credit card recommendation and application experiences, driving projects independently from design through delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs
- Independently drive projects from technical design through implementation and production rollout
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to shape technical solutions and influence product direction
Required qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3-5 years of professional backend software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in at least one of TypeScript, Scala, or Node.js
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems design
