Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

To support a long-term contract, the remote Software Quality Assurance Specialist will develop, maintain, and execute plans for creating and tracking Software Quality Assurance procedures while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Software Quality Assurance and operating procedures across the software lifecycle
• Translate ASME NQA-1-2022 requirements into procedural content with acceptance criteria
• Support audits and reviews to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in SQA and procedures

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent nuclear industry experience
• 5+ years of experience in nuclear SQA program ownership and controlled procedure development
• Knowledge of ASME NQA-1-2022 Subpart 2.7 software lifecycle requirements
• Practical understanding of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B criteria as applied to software in a nuclear environment
• Strong technical writing skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and compliance traceability
