Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

To support a long-term contract initiative, the remote Software Quality Assurance Specialist will develop and maintain procedures for Software Quality Assurance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating cross-discipline reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute plans for creating and organizing Software Quality Assurance procedures across the software lifecycle
• Translate ASME NQA-1-2022 Subpart 2.7 requirements into detailed procedural content with acceptance criteria
• Support audits and reviews to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in SQA and procedures

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent nuclear industry experience
• 5+ years of experience in nuclear SQA program ownership or controlled procedure development
• Knowledge of ASME NQA-1-2022 Subpart 2.7 software lifecycle requirements
• Practical understanding of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B criteria as applied to software in a nuclear environment
• Strong technical writing skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and compliance traceability
