Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

To support the development and maintenance of software quality assurance processes, the long-term contract Software Quality Assurance Specialist and Procedure Writer will create, organize, and track SQA procedures remotely while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute plans for SQA and operating procedures across the software lifecycle
• Translate regulatory requirements into clear procedural content with acceptance criteria
• Coordinate cross-discipline procedure reviews and maintain auditable records of procedure activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent nuclear industry experience
• 5+ years of experience in nuclear SQA program ownership or controlled procedure development
• Knowledge of ASME NQA-1-2022 Subpart 2.7 software lifecycle requirements
• Practical understanding of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B criteria as applied to software in a nuclear environment
• Strong technical writing skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and compliance traceability
