Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

To support a long-term contract, the remote Software Quality Assurance Specialist will develop, maintain, and execute plans for Software Quality Assurance and procedural documentation across the software lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and track Software Quality Assurance and operating procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements
• Translate ASME NQA-1-2022 requirements into detailed procedural content and maintain traceability with the Requirements Traceability Matrix
• Coordinate cross-discipline procedure reviews and facilitate approval workflows with various stakeholder teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent nuclear industry experience
• 5+ years of experience in nuclear SQA program ownership or controlled procedure development
• Knowledge of ASME NQA-1-2022 Subpart 2.7 software lifecycle requirements and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B criteria
• Strong technical writing skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and compliance traceability
• Experience writing procedures that interface across QA, IT, engineering, and operations within a controlled document environment
