Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

To support the development and maintenance of software quality assurance procedures, the long-term contract Software Quality Assurance Specialist will work remotely to create, organize, and track SQA and operational procedures while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute plans for creating and tracking Software Quality Assurance procedures across the software lifecycle
• Translate ASME NQA-1-2022 requirements into detailed procedural content with acceptance criteria
• Coordinate cross-discipline procedure reviews and maintain auditable records within the EDMS

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent nuclear industry experience
• 5+ years of experience in nuclear SQA program ownership or controlled procedure development
• Knowledge of ASME NQA-1-2022 software lifecycle requirements and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B criteria
• Strong technical writing skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and compliance traceability
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with electronic procedure tools is a plus
