Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

To support a long-term contract, the remote Software Quality Assurance Specialist will develop, maintain, and execute plans for creating and organizing Software Quality Assurance procedures while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and track Software Quality Assurance and operating procedures across the software lifecycle
• Translate regulatory requirements into role-specific procedural content with acceptance criteria
• Coordinate cross-discipline procedure reviews and maintain auditable records of all procedure activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Business, or related field, or equivalent nuclear industry experience
• 5+ years of experience in nuclear SQA program ownership or controlled procedure development
• Knowledge of ASME NQA-1-2022 Subpart 2.7 software lifecycle requirements
• Practical understanding of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B criteria in a nuclear environment
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, actionable procedures
