Software Quality Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Contractor - Software Quality Engineer 3.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the adequacy and efficiency of existing software programmatic infrastructure against NQA-1 quality frameworks
• Prepare plans, procedures, and desktop instructions for software compliance with NQA-1 and IEEE standards
• Provide guidance to other departments on meeting applicable software regulations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• B.S. or B.A degree required; technical degree preferred, or ten years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear quality assurance program development or implementation
• Experience with ASME NQA-1, IEEE standards, and NRC Regulatory Guides in the software series
• Strong technical writing and organizational skills required
• Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
