Job Summary
Focused on securing open-source software and upstream dependencies, the full-time remote Software Security Engineer II will assess risks, implement security controls, and collaborate on initiatives to enhance CrowdStrike's software supply chain against advanced threats.
Key responsibilities
- Assess risk and provide security guidance on open-source software usage and repository configurations
- Implement and maintain security controls for public and private GitHub organizations
- Investigate open-source dependencies and third-party packages to mitigate supply chain risks
Required qualifications
- Experience in an engineering role implementing and monitoring software security systems
- Strong working experience with GitHub, including repository administration and access management
- Familiarity with artifact storage tools like Artifactory and S3
- Experience identifying and mitigating open-source risks and securing Linux/Unix configurations
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, Golang, Shell, or JavaScript
