Software Security Engineer
Job Summary
To support security initiatives, the remote contract Software Security Engineer will perform non-SaaS Windows software reviews, articulate security requirements for applications, and provide exceptional customer service regarding software evaluations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct non-SaaS Windows software reviews to ensure compliance with security policies and standards
- Articulate conditional security requirements for application reviews clearly
- Deliver exceptional customer service to requestors related to software review processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Expertise with Microsoft Windows and common Windows application conventions
- Knowledge of common security weaknesses, including OWASP Top 10 for desktop applications
- Experience with reverse engineering and debugging tools for Windows
- Strong understanding of network protocols and their security implications
