Solar Designer

Job Summary

Experienced professionals will find a full-time opportunity as a Solar Designer, responsible for generating solar blueprints using AutoCAD, ensuring accurate scope of work, and collaborating with construction managers and sales teams, with the option to work remotely or from the Irvine, CA office.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD to create solar blueprints that meet jurisdictional and utility requirements
• Become a subject matter expert on Qcells' Q.Home battery system and related residential products
• Identify factors affecting project scope, cost, and installation complexity while collaborating with construction managers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 5-8+ years of experience, including 3-5 years in solar system design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of NEC and CRC codes
• Experience with permitting processes and local authorities
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills
