Solar Project Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Solar Project Engineer to support the development process of solar PV projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering aspects of solar PV projects including design, energy estimates, and permitting
• Oversee third-party engineering partners to ensure timely task completion
• Develop PV layouts and create production forecasts using relevant software tools

Required Qualifications

• BS in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, or relevant field; experience in solar design engineering may substitute for degree
• 5+ years of experience in designing and managing solar projects
• Knowledge of design and construction processes for Community Solar and/or C&I DG projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with other solar modeling tools is a plus
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. and a valid driver's license
