Solar Project Estimator

Job Summary

To support a growing solar project portfolio, the contract Solar Project Estimator will manage project estimations from conception through execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all assigned solar project estimations, collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to define engineering requirements
• Coordinate with external engineers and suppliers to secure resources and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations
• Support project commissioning activities and manage long lead material orders to minimize risks and budget overruns

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering preferred
• 7+ years of experience in substation design and engineering for high voltage projects highly preferred
• Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience with a strong bias for action
• PMP and/or P.E. in a related discipline is a plus
• Interest in project estimating for candidates right out of college with relevant engineering degrees
