Solidworks Drafter

Job Summary

Supporting advanced reactor design work, the contract Solidworks Drafter will create and maintain SolidWorks 3D CAD models and engineering drawings, produce documentation to ASME standards, and perform tolerance stack-ups while collaborating on technical deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Create structural and mechanical design solutions, including 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for reactor components
• Conduct trade studies to identify optimal design options and document design progress through collaboration platforms
• Maintain configuration control using PDM software and ensure accuracy of engineering and fabrication drawings

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience with SolidWorks CAD system
• Proficiency in using product data management (PDM) software
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
• Background in Mechanical and Machine Design
• Experience reviewing fabrication drawings and designing for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA)
