SolidWorks Drafter

Job Summary

Supporting advanced reactor design work, the contract SolidWorks Drafter will create and maintain 3D CAD models and engineering drawings, perform tolerance stack-ups, and manage configuration control while collaborating on technical deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Create structural and mechanical design solutions, 3D CAD models, and engineering drawings for reactor components
• Produce engineering drawings adhering to ASME Y14.1 and Y14.5 standards and perform tolerance stack-up calculations
• Conduct trade studies, document design changes, and create technical presentations to communicate design progress

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience with proficiency in SolidWorks CAD system
• Experience using product data management (PDM) software
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
• Experience reviewing fabrication drawings and designing for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA)
• Background in Mechanical and Machine Design
