Solidworks Drafter

Job Summary

Supporting advanced reactor design work, the contract Solidworks Drafter will create and maintain 3D CAD models and engineering drawings, perform tolerance stack-ups, and document design changes while working onsite in Bellevue, WA, or remotely for exceptionally qualified non-local candidates.

Key responsibilities:

• Create structural and mechanical design solutions, 3D CAD models, and engineering drawings for reactor structures and components
• Produce engineering drawings adhering to ASME Y14.1 and Y14.5 standards while maintaining configuration control using PDM software
• Conduct trade studies to identify optimal design options and document progress through collaboration platforms

Required qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant experience with proficiency in SolidWorks CAD system
• Experience using product data management (PDM) software
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
• Proven ability to produce engineering and fabrication drawings in SolidWorks
• Background in Mechanical and Machine Design with a focus on designing for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA)
