Solidworks Drafter
Job Summary
Supporting advanced reactor design work, the contract Solidworks Drafter will create and maintain 3D CAD models and engineering drawings, perform tolerance stack-ups, and utilize PDM/PLM tools while documenting design changes in Bellevue, WA, with remote options for exceptionally qualified non-local candidates.
Key responsibilities
- Create structural and mechanical design solutions, 3D CAD models, and engineering drawings for reactor structures and components
- Develop and maintain complex mechanical designs using Solidworks CAD system while producing engineering drawings adhering to ASME Y14.1 and Y14.5 standards
- Conduct trade studies, document design progress, and create technical presentations to communicate design status
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience with proficiency in SolidWorks CAD system
- Experience using product data management (PDM) software
- Strong background in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
- Experience reviewing fabrication drawings and designing for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA)
- Background in Mechanical and Machine Design
