Solution Architect

Job Summary

To support a major AI-powered modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs, the remote full-time Solution Architect will design and deliver enterprise technology solutions focused on modernizing legacy healthcare systems and improving operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise solution architectures supporting VA modernization initiatives
• Critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for architectural soundness and translate findings into actionable solution designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery and alignment with federal cybersecurity standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
• 10-15+ years of experience in enterprise solution architecture or technology modernization initiatives
• Experience supporting large-scale federal IT modernization programs, preferably within healthcare or VA environments
• Strong experience designing enterprise solutions across cloud, application, integration, and infrastructure domains
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and federal compliance standards
