Solution Delivery Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Solution Delivery Architect to configure mainframe hardware and support client migrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define mainframe equipment connections to Mainframe CPU and support existing hardware functionality
• Evaluate client systems for migration into data centers and proposed solutions for supportability
• Serve as an escalation point for mainframe hardware issues and adjust weights on HMC for LPARS as needed

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a z/OS environment supporting mainframe hardware
• Experience creating HCD and IOCP for zOS, zVM, and zVSE in a multi-data center environment
• Familiarity with Z Series HMC and support element
• Ability to mentor and train junior team members
• Above average knowledge of the z/OS operating system and familiarity with tape and DASD replication methodologies
