Solutions Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the technical side of pre-sales, the full-time remote Solutions Engineer will lead technical discovery, deliver customized product demonstrations, and architect proof-of-concept deployments to support prospects in their migration to Render's cloud platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with prospects to uncover infrastructure requirements and migration complexity
• Deliver customized product demonstrations that align Render's capabilities with each prospect's use case
• Architect and run proof-of-concept deployments to validate Render's ability to handle production workloads

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical sales role at a cloud infrastructure or PaaS company
• Deep familiarity with at least one major PaaS platform, having deployed real applications
• Proficiency across the modern web application stack, including web servers, databases, and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to write code in languages such as Python, Ruby, or Node.js for debugging and POC integration
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals relevant to migration evaluations
